QR code scanning

membermojo plastic membership cards can be printed with a QR code unique to each member.

When scanned by a suitable application running on a phone or tablet the member page will be displayed and attendance recorded if enabled.

With the right application multiple cards can be scanned in quick succession.

Signing In

When the browser is displayed after the first scan you will asked to Sign In before the member page is displayed.

Recommended applications on iOS

Qrafter - QR Code by Kerem Erkan (free)

From the app settings page:

  • enable 'Scan on launch'
  • enable 'Scan and Go'
  • set Browser to 'Safari' (do not use the '(In-App)' browser)

Click the scan button and point it at a QR code. When recognised your chosen browser will start and show the member page.

Click the back button labelled 'Qrafter' top left to scan the next card.

Built in camera app

The camera app in iOS11 and above can scan QR codes without additional software.

Check that 'Scan QR Codes' is enabled under Settings / Camera.

Open the camera app and point it at a QR code. When recognised a popup will appear - click to launch Safari and view the member page.

Click the back button labelled 'Camera' top left to scan the next card.

Recommend applications on Android

QR & Barcode Reader by TeaCapps (free)

From the app settings page tick 'Open websites automatically'.

Point the app at a QR code. When recognised Chrome will launch and display the member page.

Click the back button to scan the next card.

Built in camera app

Some Android devices can scan QR codes using the standard camera app when Google Lens is enabled in Settings.

Open the camera app and point it at a QR code. If recognised a popup will appear - click to launch Chrome and view the member page.

Click the back button to scan the next card.
