Membership requires approval
New members are very welcome and there are always plenty of experienced pilots willing to teach you to fly. So if you're thinking of taking up the sport, why not come along and visit us? We're always there on club days, regardless of the weather.
Before flying all Club Members must be insured and this requirement can be satisfied by the member joining the British Model Flying Association (BMFA) , Scottish Aeromodellers Association (SAA) or Large Model Association (LMA)
New members applying to join after 1st December will have their subscriptions cover them for the following year.

**New members join for free!**
Our memberships fees are made up of 2 elements: the club membership fee, and the BMFA/SAA membership fee. If you have BMFA, SAA or LMA membership elsewhere, you do not need to purchase a membership with it included.
Late Payment - Membership renewal after 30th December will be allowed at the Committee’s discretion, if there are extenuating circumstances. If no such circumstances exist, the member will have forfeited his/her membership and will have to re-apply for membership under the terms for a new member.
The memberships are split by age as follows;

BMFA, SAA or LMA Insurance is mandatory for our Club. BMFA insurance can be obtained through CVFMAC. Please note that insurance from any other organisation is not sufficient, you must be a member of the BMFA, SAA or LMA. This is a condition of our club's affiliation.
It is also necessary for any person who flies at the site as a guest to have BMFA, SAA or LMA insurance, again any other insurance is not acceptable.
In addition, all rates are discounted towards the end of the year to reflect the reduced BMFA, SAA or LMA rates.
