Welcome to The Cairn Terrier Club

We are an International Breed Society and have been in existence since 1910. We are an organisation run by a committee of elected volunteers who all share your passion for the Cairn Terrier.

Our aims and objectives are:

• To promote the breeding of the old working terrier of the Highlands, now known as the Cairn Terrier
• To promote and advance the interests of this breed by exhibiting and providing special prizes in cash or otherwise as may be authorised by the Committee at shows wherever they may be held and by promoting shows or other events to be held under Kennel Club Rules and Scottish Kennel Club Rules
• To adopt and publish a standard of the breed.
• To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed
