Welcome to Prestatyn Camera Club

Welcome!

We are a photography club based in Prestatyn and members of the North Wales Photography Association. Our aim is to promote all aspects and genres of photography and, whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, you'll be welcome at the club. Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, members must be aged 18 years or over.

Our meetings are informal and the members decide the future club agenda. Meetings include tuition sessions for all levels (for example, camera basics, editing and studio sessions) and occasional guest speakers. We also have trips to various places, usually on the last Wednesday of the month.

Come along and see what we're about. Except when we have a trip out, we meet at Meliden Community Centre on Wednesdays from 7pm until 9pm, and we don't charge for your first two meetings, except on nights when we have a speaker (these cost between £5 and £10 for non-members depending on the speaker's fee). If you subsequently join the club, the speaker fee will be deducted from the club membership fee. Once a month we have a trip

To become a member there is a one-off joining fee and then a yearly membership subscription of £120. 

The joining fee is:

• £20 for an adult
• £15 for a student or senior citizen
• £35 for a family or couple living together.

The annual subscription may be paid in full or monthly instalments of £10 per calendar month. Instalments should be paid whether the member is able to attend or not; however, exceptions may be made at the committee’s discretion (for example students at university or people with long-term illness who are physically unable to attend).

If the monthly instalment is not paid for 2 months, membership may be discontinued and a joining fee will need to be paid before membership is restarted.

Please note that when you join the club and pay the joining fee, you are also agreeing to pay subs monthly: it is a way of paying membership in instalments and is not optional. It is important that everyone pays their £10 subs every month so that we can pay for the room, insurance, speakers and equipment. The committee has the right to remove membership for anyone who hasn't paid subs for 2 months.

Membership does not expire until members default on payments. All new membership applications require approval once the fee has been received. if you have any questions regarding membership please use the Facebook page to contact a member of the club.
