Welcome to Glynde Swimming Pool 2026 - Membership is now closed as we are at capacity 

We’re excited to welcome everyone back for the 2026 pool season. Our beautiful open-air, unheated pool is run by the community, for the community. 

Opening date: TBC, with opening planned for the end of May.

The pool season usually runs until early to mid-September. 

Using the Pool

To swim at the pool, you must either be a member of the Glynde and Beddingham Swimming Club or attend as a guest of a member, signed in and accompanied by them.

The pool is now proudly run as a CIC.

Who Can Apply for Membership?

Membership is open to permanent residents living within the parish of:

  • Glynde

  • Beddingham

  • Firle

Please note that membership is based on parish boundaries, and the number of members is limited due to insurance restrictions.

How to Apply for Membership

If You Live in Glynde or Beddingham

  • Membership opens on 6 May 2026

  • Please apply via this site as a new member

  • All applicants, including returning members, must register as NEW MEMBERS. Ignore the option to renew membership.

  • Your application will be reviewed for approval

  • Once approved, you will receive a payment link

  • One person should apply as the lead member and add all other household members as linked members, including all children and infants under 1.

If You Live in Firle

Memberships for Firle residents will be allocated by random ballot, drawn one week after the pool opens (date TBC).

  • Applications open on 6 May 2026

  • Please apply via this site as a new member

  • All applicants, including returning members, must register as new each year

  • Your application will be entered into the ballot

  • We will contact you shortly after the draw to let you know the outcome

Please make sure to include everyone in your household you would like to join as linked members, including children and infants under 1.

 

We very much hope to offer membership to everyone who would like to join. However, our lease requires us to prioritise residents of Glynde and Beddingham, so we feel a ballot is the fairest way to allocate any remaining spaces.

If you are not successful this year, we would still love to welcome you as a guest of a member.

As a community-run facility, the pool relies on all members to take shared responsibility for using the pool safely and helping keep it running smoothly for everyone.

Together, we keep this special place thriving – by the community, for the community.
