We are a democratically run, community-owned society dedicated to securing a thriving, sustainable future for the Campbeltown area.
As a registered Community Benefit Society, any profit we make is legally locked in and reinvested for the benefit of our community. Our core goals are to:
Regenerate our town: We acquire, steward, and regenerate land and buildings (including neglected or ownerless assets) to ensure they are held in democratic community ownership for the long term.
Support local people and enterprise: We help relieve financial hardship by providing affordable workspace, housing, and public amenities for local enterprises and community organisations.
Protect our heritage: We work to preserve and conserve the architectural heritage of the Campbeltown Community Council Area, including the Campbeltown Conservation Area.
We believe that the people who care about Campbeltown should be the ones guiding its future. By joining us, you purchase a £1 Membership Share and become a legal co-owner of the Society.
We operate on a strict "One Member, One Vote" principle, meaning your voice counts equally regardless of your background. To ensure that our work remains firmly rooted in the local community, we offer two membership categories:
Community Member: For individuals aged 16+ who live within the Campbeltown Community Council area. (By law, Community Members will always hold the majority voting power).
