Why join York Knavesmire Harriers?
Membership of York Knavesmire Harriers allows you to join over 400 other York runners. If you can run anything from 5k, you'll fit right in.
Our club provides access to free training nights; introduces you to many great local races; and gives you discounts off many other races across the UK. All new members can also claim a free club vest.
If you are interested in joining our club please feel free to come down to one of our training nights (details here). There is no need to pay or book to try a training night, just turn up. We normally recommend the Monday or Thursday 6:30 social runs as a good introduction – for a gentle stop-start 10k, for slower and faster runners.

Additional form for 16 or 17 year old appicants only
In England people are legally an adult at the age of 18. It is therefore essential for York Knavesmire Harriers to receive signed approval from a parent or guardian of any 16 or 17 year olds who want to join our club. So, in addition to completing the standard online details, 16 and 17 year olds must also complete and send us the additional form below. Only once this form has been received will a 16 or 17 year old be an official club member. Once you have completed your online details, please complete and send this form to: YKH under 18s, 13 Balmoral Terrace, York, YO23 1HR.
Training for 16 and 17 year olds: 16 and 17 year olds are limited to training with us at our Tuesday 6:30 track session and our Thursday 6:30 endurance session where we have a qualified coach present. 16 and 17 year olds are unfortunately not permitted to join our Monday and Thursday social runs as qualified coaches do not oversee these sessions.
What is the club membership year?
Our membership year runs from 1 April to 31 March. If you join the club in January, February or March, your membership will carry you through to 31 March in the following year.
Our confidentiality commitment
We treat all membership details with the strictest confidentiality. No details will be shared without your permission - apart from sharing your name, address and date of birth with England Athletics to secure your England Athletics membership number.
