Welcome to Wells Palace Croquet Club

The Wells Palace 2026 croquet season starts on 20th April 2026 and continues through the summer months until the end of September. The club members play most afternoons of the week, wearing their “whites” and enjoying a social afternoon playing croquet.

Introduction (taster) Sessions

The club welcomes new members, even if they have not played before. Introductory or Taster sessions are given, normally in the morning and lasting approximately an hour. Full whites are not needed for Taster sessions, but please where flat shoes and as much white clothing as you have available.

Then when a new member is comfortable with the game (it's not difficult), they are invited to join as a Full member and then come along to the club afternoons to enjoy playing with other members.

How to Book an "Introduction" (taster) Session with the Club

Please complete this on-line application form (Click on Join Us), selecting Membership type of "Taster Only" (it's free). We will then contact you by email with the dates & times that you can attend for a taster session. If you enjoy the session, you can then update your membership to Adult and pay the required fees.
