Winter is nealy here so below is the schedule for the winter turbo sessions
Indoor turbo sessions at Tenby Leisure Centre
Monday 5.45-6.45pm – Nick Brown
Wednesday 6.00-7.00pm - Rhys Jordan
Sunday 8.00-10.00am – optional wet weather turbo session if we can't get out on the road (see FB page for details)
All of the sessions will be low to moderate intensity, focusing on technique and endurance.
At Tenby Leisure Centre there are 17 IC7 spin bikes and 10 turbo trainers.
The IC7 bikes have dual sided pedals that have traditional pedals with straps on one side and the small metal SPD cleats on the other. We have a small number of Look and Shimano pedals that can be used but if the sessions are very busy its difficult for the instructors to change pedals around. So if you can get shoes with the SPD cleats that would be an big advantage. If you use the IC7 bikes then you will need some basic measurements from your own bike to set it up correctly (saddle height, handlebar height and reach).
We will be operating a block booking system covering 12 week blocks, for each instructors session. So if you pay in advance you will be assured of a space in that instructors session. If the sessions are full there will be a waiting list and places will be given on a first-come-first-served basis. The cost of the 12 weeks is £48 (£4 per session) for Team NBCC members, and £60 (£5 per session for non-members). You can contact the instructors on Facebook (NB Cycle Coaching page) or by text to book.

We are going to try and ride outside on the weekend, starting from Tenby Leisure Centre at 8am on Sunday morning. The pace and duration of rides will set to the slowest rider but hopefully this will increase with fitness and experience. If we have over 10 riders we could split into groups and have different paced rides. If you are a beginner and unsure about riding on the road in a group now is a good time to start.
If the weather is poor we will do a 2 hour turbo session in Tenby Leisure Centre from 8 to 10am. We will try and post in advance what the plans are but the weather can change quickly so keep an eye on NB Cycle Coaching Facebook page for details.
