Stitch-Colour-Cloth is a thriving independent stitch group which welcomes new members, aged 18 and over, with any level of experience. An eclectic group, our members enjoy exploring all forms of textile art from traditional stitch to contemporary mixed media.
Meeting monthly, on the second Saturday of the month, from September to May at Oakbank Community Centre in Perth, from 12.00 until 4.00. We start our meetings with informal "Stitch'n'Chat" over tea and biscuits. We hold occasional stitch and technique demonstrations lead by the more experienced members of the group.
Our annual programme includes inspirational talks from professional textile artists starting at 2pm. Twice per year we hold all-day workshops for an additional cost depending on the materials provided by the tutor. For members not attending the workshops, the small hall will be available for an informal get together.
Members also have access to a club library with over 200 art textile books, most available to borrow.
Stitch-Colour-Cloth is affiliated to The Scottish Stitch & Textile Group enabling our members to attend an annual national meeting, "The Gathering", together with a four-day summer school.
