St Francis Social & Sports Club is a ‘not for profit social and sports club established in 1959 initially to serve NHS staff and the local community by providing social and sports facilities. Over the years the club has grown to become one of the largest social and sports clubs in Sussex where membership is open to all in the wider community
The social club itself boasts a large air-conditioned lounge bar and a separate sports bar both which have extensive HD sports screens to watch all your favourite sports. In addition, the social club has two pool tables, three dart boards and a separate snooker room for all the indoor sports enthusiast. For those who would like to enjoy their drinks and food outside, the social club benefits from two licensed outdoor areas which are available to members and their guests up until 8.00 pm every day. Where government guidelines permit, the social club can host events, music, and private functions. Pub style food is available at weekends and where guidelines permit the social club can provide catering (up to 100 covers) for private functions and events. The social club also benefits from two separate function rooms which are available for hire throughout the year and excellent parking.
Situated only a few miles from the South Downs our outdoor sports facilities have stunning views which can be enjoyed from our 14.5-acre site which includes a refurbished indoor swimming pool, football pitches, a bowls club and even more parking facilities. In addition to the extensive indoor and outdoor sports facilities available at St Francis Social & Sports Club members and their families can actively join the various sports sections available through the club at all levels such as football. hockey, swimming and running to name a few.
With respect for our neighbours, the social club operates a Noise Management Plan where members and guests are kindly asked to keep noise to a minimum when using our outdoor spaces and when leaving the club's premises. Like many other similar establishments, the social club has signed up to the 'Challenge 25' imitative to prevent underage drinking. If you are lucky enough to look under 25, please do not be offended if one of our friendly staff ask you for proof of age.
