Welcome to RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders - Manchester

We have both car and motorcycle sections.

Car section:

We run three advanced car driving courses a year (in January, May and September), each of which comprises eight practical driving sessions held every second Sunday morning (starting from the car park behind Woodley Civic Hall, Stockport) and three evening classroom theory sessions, also held at Woodley Civic Hall. Each drive is followed by a feedback session with one of our friendly volunteer Tutors.

Our driving courses are open to any qualified driver over the age of 18 seeking to refine their existing skills, learn new skills and build confidence. The driving techniques we coach are based on the Police Driver's handbook 'Roadcraft' and The Highway Code.

We have two options to choose from for new members:

  • Associate Member (including books): Ths includes a copy of Roadcraft, the Highway Code and Know Your Road Signs books. The joining fee is £50, which includes all necessary training materials.

OR

  • Associate Member (excluding books): Choose this option if you already have copies of Roadcraft, the Highway Code and Know Your Road Signs books. The joining fee is £40 if you already have the books.

To join as a new member - please select the appropriate Associate Membership catagory - we'll then be in touch to let you know about availablity of our next course.
