The Society for Anglo-Chinese Understanding (SACU) is a voluntary, non-profit-making, people-to-people organisation that has been dedicated to promoting understanding and friendship between the people of the UK and the people of China since our founding by Dr Joseph Needham of Cambridge University, and others, in 1965. SACU is a member-based organisation. We have no political affiliations and are open to all who subscribe to our aims.
We encourage people to join us so they can help promote understanding with friendship. At the same time you will benefit from the following:
Friendship with many people who share your desire to promote deeper understanding between the people of the UK and the people of China
If you are interested in joining us, please fill out the form and our Membership Secretary will be in touch with you to answer any further questions you may have and to process your application.
Current members can also renew and review their membership here - please sign in using your email address (top right of this page).
