We are the charity which safeguards the only home built by Robert Burns and the place where he wrote a quarter of his work - including Auld Lang Syne and Tam o Shanter. Ellisland Farm near Dumfries is the best preserved of all Burns's homes and the place to see nature through his eyes. Our membership charity strives to keep the legacy of Robert Burns' time here alive for future generations, safeguarding the unspoiled setting and important collection in our museum. Membership gives you a say in the site's future and also delivers benefits, such as free access to the site, discounted access to events and members only content. 

We have different types of membership for you to choose from, so take your time and pick the best option. We have specialised membership options for individuals, joint membership and family membership options. In addition to those options, we have the 1788 Circle for Burns Clubs and The Glencairn Circle for individual and corporate sponsors, both of which get free access to our facilities. In addition, we also have a special newsletter for members only, with some behind the scenes information and early news about upcoming events and activities at the museum.
