Joining / renewing

You can join the Preservation Society or renew your existing membership by clicking the orange Join Us / Renew button on this page and completing the online form, paying using your debit or credit card or by sending a cheque .

(If you prefer to complete a hard copy form and pay by cheque, please download and print this printable membership application form and send payment which must then be cheque or postal order not debit or credit card.)

Membership gives you:

• four issues of our quarterly full colour glossy magazine with all the latest news about the railway.
• use of volunteer accommodation at a low nightly rate when volunteering on the railway.

• free travel upon the Railway’s ordinary public services until 1.3.27. After 1.3.27 the entitlement is one complimentary travel pass per year (not to be used in peak times) and 75% discounted travel for R&ERPS Members thereafter. Concessionary travel may be withdrawn without prior notice at any time as may be necessary.

• membership which runs from March 1st to the end of February. Membership will last for an additional 12 months for members joining after 19 September.
