Membership of the National Piers Society 
enables you to join like-minded people enjoying and making a direct contribution to the preservation and continued enjoyment of Britain's seaside piers.

National Piers Society Membership entitles you to:

• Receive our quarterly full-colour magazine PIERS (Printed copies are only posted to UK Members, PDF copies are emailed to overseas Members)
• Attend and vote at Members’ meetings of the Society, including the Annual General Meeting - a weekend event held each year at a seaside location
• Vote each year for the 'National Piers Society Pier of the Year' (Corporate and Pier Owner Members are not eligible to vote)

New Members are always welcome with Annual Membership running from
1st January to 31st December each year.

Subject to availability, new Members joining us on or before 30th September will receive back issues of our quarterly journal, PIERS, from the start of the joining year.

Memberships commencing on or after 1st October will receive only the current issue but the Membership continues until the end of the following year.

The current end date of Annual Memberships is shown in the bottom right of the Memberships table on this page and also when you select a Membership Category from the dropdown menu after clicking on the 'JOIN US / RENEW' button.

National Piers Society Membership can be the perfect gift for any special occasion

Membership can be an excellent gift for a friend or loved one with the recipient/s of the Gift Membership receiving a Welcome Letter which includes the name and details of the person who purchased the Gift Membership for them.

Please allow plenty of time before a special date / event when purchasing a Gift Membership.  As with all of our Committee Members, the Membership Secretary fulfils this role on a voluntary basis but, as with all new Memberships and Renewals, your Gift Membership order will be processed and posted as quickly as possible once received. Due to this, delivery for a specific date cannot be guaranteed.

Letting us know you are eligible for Gift Aid helps us to make the most of every penny from your Membership Subscription at no extra cost to you.

If you are buying or renewing a Membership you are a part of, you can Gift Aid your subscription* and help us obtain an additional 25p from HMRC for each £1 you give us.

Pier Owner or Corporate Memberships and Gift Memberships are not eligible for Gift Aid.

*I’m not sure if I can opt in to Gift Aid. What’s the criteria?

1. You must be a UK tax payer.

2. The amount you pay in Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax must at least equal the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year (otherwise it is your responsibility to pay the difference).

3. You must be buying or renewing a Membership that you are a part of, and it not be a Gift, Pier Owner or Corporate Membership.

The NPS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its members’ data. membermojo provides secure storage and membership processing for our member data in their capacity as a data processor for our online membership services. The information which you provide for your membership will be held by membermojo / the NPS on computer / secure storage to administer your membership, and provide you with our quarterly journal. The NPS or membermojo will never sell or trade personal data. membermojo may share personal data with their sub-processors to implement site functions such as hosting, email or payment processing. membermojo’s sub-processors page  https://membermojo.co.uk/piers/help/sub-processors page has a full list and explains what is shared and why. Information you provide will only be used with regard to your membership, and to keep you informed about events arranged by the NPS including information about the enjoyment of piers.
