15th February 2021
It is with great pleasure that this week we publish an audition notice for “9 to 5” the musical planned for October this year. The production team have been hard at work devising ways in which the show can be cast and rehearsed, all will be revealed at the information evening which will be held on line on 17th February 7.30pm. For more information see Facebook pages or contact Nathanwilde@icloud.com
This will closely be followed by a recasting audition notice for “Goodnight Mr. Tom” which is scheduled for September. Then on July 4th Andy Brown will be holding an information evening for next year’s Panto “Snow White”.
Theatre Council decided it would be best to postpone the shows planned for this spring to next; subject to licence approval.
Children’s Theatre will resume in September.
The theatre is Covid Secure, looking good and desperately in need of people! But we just must be patient. As soon as theatres are given the go ahead to open, we plan on showing films twice a month until we have a production ready for the stage. The remedial work initiated by the Fire Service is almost complete, all that’s left to do now is a general tidy up and one last “clear out”, it’s amazing how much “junk” we accumulate.
So, looking forward to 2022 and beyond, is there a show that you would like to see us stage at The Norb? maybe one you’ve always wanted to perform in? Then please let Andy Brown or any member of the Theatre Council know and we can see what we can do. We will be looking for directors for plays and an Autumn Musical.
It can’t be much longer before we can get together again, we have so much to look forward to and next year 2022 will be our Diamond Anniversary, so time to party!
