You will be asked to pay by credit card, or debit card or by using your PayPal account. If you would prefer to join and pay by cheque, please use this form Membership form March 2018.pdf. If you want to renew and pay your subscription by cheque, please use the form sent with the March issue of the magazine.
If you choose full membership, you will receive printed copies of both The Narrow Gauge and Narrow Gauge News, together with printed copies of other notices and publications.
With e-membership, you will receive printed copies of The Narrow Gauge, but Narrow Gauge News (and certain other notices and publications) will be sent to you by email, as a link to a pdf copy of the magazine.
If you live in Europe, we will mail your magazines using international priority mail; we use airmail for members who live in the rest of the World. This should ensure delivery to addresses in Europe within 3 to 5 days, with delivery to the rest of the World in 5 to 7 days.
Associate membership is for family members of a full member or e-member. Your associate member can use our library or join us on visits to narrow gauge railways. You can include payment for Associate membership with your payment for full or e-membership.
Visits-only membership is for people who wish to join us on visits to narrow gauge railways, but are not full members, e-members or family associate members. We will not accept anyone on our visits unless they have joined the Society in one or other membership category.

Any personal information you give to us, whether written or electronic, will be processed in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679). The NGRS will use the information to process your membership and it will be used and shared in connection with society activities (for example provision of key facts and details about the Society, provision of mailing lists for our magazines, notification of open days, organised visits and meetings including Local Area Group meetings, notification of the expiry of your subscription, etc.). The Society may also use the information to support its own financial records, marketing and market research activities. The information you provide will not be used for purposes other than the operation of the Society.
