Welcome to Letchworth & District Astronomical Society

We at LDAS are a group of people from all walks of life brought together by a common interest - ASTRONOMY

By joining us you will gain access to over 100 astronomers ranging in experience from the complete beginner to accomplished astro photographers who have had their work published in national magazines!

Additionally you will be able to enjoy:

A monthly meeting with a guest speaker on the last Wednesday of every month

Our astro photography group which meets on the second Monday of every month

A monthly news letter

Access to our dedicated observatory in Letchworth

Access to a range of high quality telescopes available to *hire

Oberserving session - hands on and virtual - sometimes using internationaly located equipment

Above all you will be joining a group of people who really do talk to each other to enhance our common interest

There ar 3 types of memebrship available:

INDIVIDUAL - Over 18 , one person, full access to all the Society offers

FAMILY - Over 18 lead member and upto 3 other people including Children (who must always be accompanied), full access to all the Society offers

STUDENT - This special membership is free and available to a singe individual over 12 years old in full time education. Full access to all the Society offers BUT PLEASE NOTE individuals under 18 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at all events
