King's Swords is a friendly, fun and successful fencing club which meets on Saturday mornings throughout the school term. The club is open to all children from the ages of 6 through to 18 years old, and we teach all three of the fencing weapons: epee, foil and sabre.
The club uses the sports hall at King’s College School with its extensive, well-stocked armoury, and the address is King's College School Sports Hall, Woodhayes Road, Wimbledon SW19 4TT
The club is affiliated to British Fencing (BF) and we require all our fencers to become individual members of BF once they have passed beginner status.
Our training hours are from 9.00 am though to 12.00 noon and this is split into three sessions.
"Prep Fencing" is our plastic swords group for 6-8 year olds who would like to experience the sport at an early age. This group meets from 0900 - 0930. “Beginner/Intermediate” groups run from 0900 - 1030 and “Improver/Advanced” groups run from 1030 - 1200 noon.
King's Swords has 4 excellent instructors with a wealth of national and international fencing experience and we pride ourselves on our coaching ability. Our instructors are all vetted and are all very experienced in teaching children. They are:
