Welcome to Hertford Dramatic and Operatic Society (HD&OS)

Welcome to Hertford Dramatic and Operatic Society (HD&OS)! We are a friendly community, passionate about performing plays, musicals and pantomimes to the public, at our Studio Theatre at Bentley House, and at BEAM theatre, in Hertford.

Whether you are new to acting, and to any of the backstage roles, or you already have experience, we are delighted you have found us! Our members range from people who love to act and perform, to people who enjoy one of the many backstage roles that are needed to put on a first class production. 

Interests across the society include set design and build, costumes, make-up and wigs, props, lighting, sound, stage and production management, front of house and bar, social media, programme design, and overall management of the society. There really is something for everyone! 

Membership

You have accessed the membership database, and are in the right place if you’d like to renew your membership with the society, or if you’d like to join us for the first time.

If you have decided to apply for membership with HD&OS, please choose the appropriate Membership Option, and then complete the Membership form following the link in the box at the top of this page.

As part of your membership, you will receive a monthly Newsletter which will update you on the shows we are performing, and give you key dates to look out for about our activities.
