Welcome to Hand Engravers Association of Great Britain

Founded in 2007, the Hand Engravers Association is a small non-profit organisation supporting and promoting a diverse range of hand engraving on metal. Including but not limited to engraving of trophies, jewellery, seals and guns, artistic engraving and engraving for enamel work.

The Association is run by volunteers and a small number of paid part time staff using income from membership, donations, events and grants. The Association receives no government funding.

We welcome members who are professional engravers, student engravers, engraving workshops, companies that use engravers and of course anyone with a keen interest in this ancient craft skill.

Our remit is to support and promote hand engraving in Great Britain but we gladly accept international members.

Income from membership enables the Association to exist, to support this generation of hand engravers and encourage the next. Look at our membership categories to see what we offer in return:

FRIEND

Engraving enthusiasts that join as a Friend will receive the quarterly members enewsletter, invitations to member only events, discounts on courses organised by the Association and discounts on public events arranged by the Association. In addition, the income from all our members helps the work of the Hand Engravers Association, a volunteer led non-profit organisation.

STUDENT

Student members will receive the quarterly members enewsletter, invitations to member only events, discounts on courses organised by the Association and discounts on public events arranged by the Association. In addition, the Association can assist in matching up potential apprentices with masters (where available).

INTERNATIONAL

Engraving enthusiasts that join from outside of Great Britain will receive the quarterly members enewsletter, invitations to member only events, discounts on courses organised by the Association and discounts on public events arranged by the Association. In addition, for international engravers a link to your website can be included from our supporters page.

PROFESSIONAL

Individual professional engravers will be entitled to the Association’s regular newsletter, preferential rates on all courses, workshops and seminars, the opportunity to take part in and display your work at exhibitions, trade fairs and selling events, and a page in the Engravers Gallery of the Association’s website.

PROFESSIONAL (discounted)

All the same benefits as "PROFESSIONAL" category but we offer a discount for those paying by annual recurring STANDING ORDER

WORKSHOP

This subscription level is for small engraving workshops. Workshops will receive the Association’s regular newsletter, a page in the members’ gallery of the Associations website, and the opportunity to take part in and display your work at exhibitions, trade fairs and selling events. Up to four engraving craftsmen within that workshop are also entitled to membership status, preferential rates on all courses, workshops and seminars.

CORPORATE

This subscription level is for large engraving workshops (5+ engravers), manufacturing companies, and retailers. Corporate Members will receive the Association’s regular newsletter, and are eligible to be listed as a sponsor on all of the Association’s promotional material. Membership includes listing on the “Our Supporters” page of the Association’s website, with a logo and a link to your company’s own website. Engraving craftsmen within that company are also entitled to membership status, preferential rates on all courses, workshops and seminars, and their own page in the Engravers Gallery of the Association’s website.
