This is NOT a Rolling Membership. The membership year runs from 1st January until 31st December. Please be aware of expiry dates when choosing your Membership Type. Persons joining after 1st October will be given extended membership to the year after. (Three years after for three-year memberships) (this does not include any extra free day rover tickets for the extension period 1st October to 31st December).

Membership Benefits:

In return for your membership fee helping to secure our railway’s future, you will receive:

• At the discretion of the ELLR Co Ltd, members have the opportunity to travel at no cost on three occasions per full year on non-event days  **
• Further travel may be purchased at a Privilege rate including on Gala and Event days.
• Free access to Bury Transport Museum and station platforms.(At the discretion of the ELLR Co Ltd). **
• Opportunities to attend one of our monthly volunteer recruitment tours and become a working volunteer in one of our departments. (You must be 18 years of age or over to attend a recruitment tour).
• Up to 3 issues of the ELRPS magazine per year
• Members are also able to access the members’ area of the ELRPS website for access to various Society documents.
• Admission to the East Lancashire Railway Preservation Society Limited Annual General Meeting.
• Please allow 10-14 days for your membership card to arrive as you cannot claim member benefits without it.

• Members who live outside of the United Kingdom who request a Postal Magazine, will be asked to make a donation towards postage costs.

• ** PLEASE NOTE - Holders of Young Persons membership who are aged 0-15 years are only permitted to ride on ELR company trains, access ELR stations or other ELR railway premises, when accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+- in accordance with the Conditions of Carriage of the East Lancashire Light Railway Company Limited. Young Persons members aged 16 and 17 years are not bound by these restrictions.

If you haven't provided an e-mail address yet, you won't be able to renew online. 

Please e-mail the Membership Secretary at membership@elrpsltd.org.uk so that they can add your chosen email address to your member record first.

Anyone applying for Young Persons membership for the first time must use the Application Form as the written consent of a Responsible Adult is required.
