Our annual programme comprises of two seasons. An Autumn season ( Sept - Dec) and a Spring season (Jan - Apr). Each season has a series of three talks and three films.

The talks cover a wide spectrum of topics, ranging from history, to philosophy, to art, humour and personal reflections.

All talks are free to Members and Non-members are welcome on payment of an admission fee.

Venue :  Redland Quaker Meeting House, 126 Hampton Road, Redland, Bristol, BS6 6JE

The films range from serious Holocaust movies, to American family comedies, to documentaries about the Middle East, but we always aim to have some Jewish link.

Venue : Scott Cinema, Westbury Park , 51 Northumbria Drive, Westbury Park, Bristol, BS9 4HN

These films are open to the public. Tickets are to be purchased directly from the cinema and booking in advance is recommended.

We encourage you to become a member of DAVAR as we are a very small charity and cannot survive without an active membership.

We are run by a small group of volunteers, so on occasions there may be a few days delay before we can respond to emails.

We are always looking for extra people to take on tasks, particularly if you have the ideas and enthusiasm to help run bigger events.

We would appreciate your ideas for future talks and films.

If you are interested in DAVAR please join us.
