Coatbridge Clarion Cycle Club

Coatbridge Clarion Cycle Club is based in Coatbridge & Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. Our membership are from all parts of the Airdrie and Coatbridge areas. The rest of our members are from a widespread area including Glenboig, Baillieston, Bellshill, Uddingston, Slamannan, Cumbernauld and Greater Glasgow.  We are also a section of the National Clarion Cycling Club.

We are one of the few clubs who are happy to take on people new to cycling. We welcome new riders on a weekly & monthly basis to join. We have experienced riders of all abilities who will help you develop your skills and fitness to help you get to the next level in a friendly and supportive manner – whether it be social, cycling or entering sportives/ cycle races. Where and when we meet for rides:

We regularly meet up in Coatbridge and Airdrie every week for various rides to different destinations. Distances of our rides tend to vary depending on the riders and weather conditions. Full details will be found on the Club Website.

The club has a wealth of experience and always makes sure that our new riders are looked after on their first few rides. We pride ourselves in riding in a disciplined and safe manner and respect our fellow road users. For example we acknowledge cars that wait and pass us safely, we single file when safe and appropriate to do so. We also slow down for horses and chat to the horse rider as we pass, so that we don’t startle them. We are known on the road by other cyclists for our friendly and helpful attitude.
