New members are required to have previous printmaking experience in your chosen specialism(s) and be over 18 years old. Volunteer technicians are available for support. Prospective members withing to join without prior experience can first book onto one of our public courses and workshops, or join as ammember and book 1:1 tuition.
Membership Rates & Studio Hours
Annual Membership: £50 per year / £30 concessions.*
Open Access Session Fees: £20 for a block of 5 hrs / £15 concessions.
1:1 bespoke tuition: £50/hr for minimum 2 hrs.
All sessions are bookable by email.
Open access hours: 10am - 3pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and Sundays.
Opening days and times may vary during school holidays and bank holidays. Out of hours or extended access can be arranged upon request.
While members receive basic support from our volunteer technicians, we recommend that members have previous printmaking experience and are able to work independently. If you would like to become a member but need more experience, you could first sign up to one of our workshops or courses.
*Concessionary rates are available for those in receipt of low-income, disability and carer-related benefits, students, and YAS studio holders.

Carousel Print Studio are a registered charity and not for profit organisation. We aim to create an inclusive and welcoming (and warm!) space, providing the public in Sheffield with access to facilities through printmaking courses and open access. We promote the visual arts and creativity in Sheffield, creating opportunities for freelancers as well as a vibrant community of printmakers.

Non Toxic studio
We aim to be a non toxic printmaking workshop, to have a low environmental impact, as well as being safe for the health of those using the space. We use safe wash oil based or water based printmaking inks, and low impact cleaning products wherever possible. We run regular courses in safe etching (using copper sulphate).
