As an independent organisation, and a charity, collaboration and engagement in our area is very important to us. We are dedicated to protecting and enhancing our district.
We have successfully campaigned for better public spaces and help create Conservation Areas; our planning watchdog keeps tabs on planning applications and local policies – championing good ideas, and challenging bad ones, and liaising with the planning authority on behalf of the Society.
We also platform Beeston Street Art, #alightinBeeston, and Beeston 2020 Vision. As well as support local projects, such as Skate Nottingham (now with a skate park in Beeston), Canopy2050.org, and Greening Beeston.
As a charity, we rely on the subscriptions of our members, and the funds we receive through donations.
If you don’t have time or means to volunteer or join us but appreciate what we do – you can donate easily to our charity PayPal to support our work in the local community, whether it be funds for our work to help save heritage buildings, fight bad development, or our general activities.
Further information on all our activities and events can be found on our website, or social media accounts.
