About us…

Baildon Runners was formed in 1984 by a group of like minded joggers who enjoyed social running.  In the early days the emphasis was more on the social side of running.  Today we have around 250 adult members, enabling us to become effective challengers at local and national competitions.  We find that we are able to balance the  more competitive side of running whilst still maintaining a fun social atmosphere within the club.

A warm welcome to all…

At Baildon Runners we pride ourselves on giving a warm and friendly welcome to all newcomers.  Everyone from complete beginners to experienced runners is equally welcome.  We believe there is something for everyone at the club.

When and where…

We are based at the Baildon Rugby & Cricket Sports Club on Jenny Lane where we meet each Thursday evening at 7:00pm.  This is our main club night. During the winter months we stick to well-lit pavement routes but at other times, when the light permits, we head off road, often across the scenic Baildon Moor.  The routes are planned so we all meet back at the Sports Club at approximately the same time.  Afterwards we unwind with a well earned drink in a local bar.

Come and try us out for free for a couple of sessions and see how you like us.  Baildon Runners is for adults over the age of 18 only.

1st Claim Membership includes the £20 2025/26 England Athletics affiliation fee, which includes a number of race and merchandise discounts with various suppliers.
