Always know what’s on in Ayrshire! Ayr Arts Guild members get our Diary Update delivered every week, listing an amazing range of upcoming events run by our talented affiliated groups.
So whether it’s theatre, vintage rail rides, gardening demos, arthouse cinema, local history, creative workshops, exhibitions, folk music or classical concerts — to name just a small sample of what’s on offer — you can be in time every time to book the best seats!
We don’t just provide a forum and a voice for Ayrshire’s cultural community.
We connect our affiliated organisations with event-goers and future participants. Join us and you can publicise your group's activities and events FREE in AAG’s Diary Update newsletter — reaching hundreds of actively interested local people every week.
The Guild has kept Ayrshire on the national concert circuit for more than half a century. Year after year, we bring premier professional orchestras right here for our local community to enjoy together. Recent performances in our Ayr Concert Series have included Nicola Benedetti, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, The Orchestra of Scottish Opera, and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
We run highly affordable weekly organ recitals too. From April to November, The Organist Entertains, our series of £6 Monday noontime concerts, brings outstanding organists from around Scotland (and far beyond!) to delight you for an hour.
Thanks to the Guild, hundreds of school-aged musicians get to attend full-scale professional orchestral concerts in Ayrshire with their parents/carers at little or no cost.
We also administer the Bill Grierson Award, supporting young people involved in the performing and creative arts. Candidates are put forward by our members.
