Welcome to 4x4 Response Wales

4×4 Response Wales is a voluntary organisation whose members use their own 4×4 vehicles to support the Emergency Planning Officers, the Emergency Services, Health Boards/Trusts, Care suppliers and other organisations in times of bad weather, flood, poor access and other emergency conditions, throughout Wales.

Join us: If you would like to help your local community in times of need, join us by completing the membership application form. There are important roles for drivers and non-drivers, so you are welcome to join us even if you don’t have a 4×4 vehicle.

Support us: 4×4 Response Wales is a registered charity and survives on raising money through various fund-raising activities, sponsorship from commercial organisations and donations from private and corporate sources. If you would like to contribute, or feel you can support us in any way, please contact secretary@4x4responsewales.org

Area Groups: 4×4 Response Wales is organised into five Area Groups which enable us to cover the various county, county borough and emergency services areas across Wales in the most appropriate way, given the geography, communications and centres of populations. The Area Groups and their activities are explained below.

North Wales: Covering the North Wales Police & Fire & Rescue area and the six North Wales Council areas of Ynys Môn, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.

Powys: Covering the full county of Powys

West Wales: Covering the area of North Ceredigion

South Wales: Covering the areas around Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Llandovery, Southern Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and as far East as Bridgend.

South East Wales: Covering the areas East of Bridgend and South of Powys including the whole of Gwent.
