Welcome to Cambridge Ferret and Welfare Rescue Society

The society was founded in 1989 by a group of enthusiasts with the hope of eliminating the negative attitude towards ferrets and widening knowledge about good welfare practices.

Our rehoming is currently centered in Boston, Lincolnshire but we also have re-homers in Norfolk and aim to cover a wide area with the help of our lovely volunteers.

The aim of the Society is to give advice about ferret welfare, both as working animals and as pets.  We also rescue, care for and re-home unwanted and abandoned animals. The society is not a registered charity but we are a charitable cause with all the monies raised going towards the promotion of ferret welfare and the upkeep of the rescued ferrets in our care.

We welcome all people interested in ferret welfare to join us as society members.  You do not have to own ferrets to become members; if you just have an interest in ferrets, you can still join and take part in the many events that we attend throughout the year, raising valuable funds and promoting the positive image of the ferret.
